Faery mushroom ring

A faery ring, otherwise known as a faery circle, pixie ring or elf circle, is a naturally occurring ring of mushrooms. Some believe that the faeries live underneath them, or that if you step inside one, you can be transported to the faery realms where our time doesn’t exist. Other folklore tells these mystical gathering spots are created by the all-night dancing of the little folk and the mushrooms that pop up are resting tables that they also eat from. Faery rings are said to act as portals to other worlds and are always signs of good luck.
