In folklore, these mushrooms were thought to be the result of deceased humans who existed underground playing the trumpet. Also known as Black Trumpet, Black Chanterelle, and Trumpet of the Dead, these mushrooms can be found hiding in leaf litter or in clusters near beech trees. A strong-tasting mushroom with a smoky flavour, Horn of Plenty is highly nutritious. The mushroom fae are making a toast with their mushroom cups, celebrating the gifts and rewards coming your way.
